Case Study: Hotels Target Millennials with New Amenities

Image
I think that millennials are viewed as key to the growth of a hotel chain due to the massive share of online presence this specific group has. The internet is accessible to everyone,  and since news and information can spread so fast, this can be very beneficial or detrimental to a company and its reputation. I think a great way for a hotel company to use social media to connect with young travelers is to create a personalized hashtag users can use to directly identify the company. Hashtags are a great way of promotion as well, as they help identify posts and, due to their bandwagon appeal, will promote others to use as well. To market to millennials, hotels are implementing services that make the guest feel more individual and at home. Hotels promote their 24-hour staff, there for the guest's convenience. For example, in   Ta'u  American Samoa Tesla  installed a solar grid which can power the entire island and store enough electricity for three days without any sun, as a source from The Verge states. Despite some controversy over the fact that Musk may not follow through with his plan, this could bring him even greater publicity and open up even more work opportunities for him. This solution tweeted out by Musk not only has legitimacy, it is something new. ...
