Apple Keynote
Apple has been the emblem of innovation, and it was no surprise that the September 2017 Keynote presented incredible new advances.
The iPhone X starts at $999, and has a full screen display. The phone has the most advanced iPhone camera yet along with facial recognition for unlocking the phone. These great new improvements offer the latest in smartphone technology with no home button and better color display on the screen. Facial recognition improves safety and enhances the experience with other apps that use facial recognition, such as Apple Pay. This phone has an all-glass exterior; the strongest of its kind. The photos and photo quality has also been improved with advancements in portrait lighting and photo editing, resulting in the best photo quality yet. No more dealing with wires as wireless charging provides the easiest and fastest charging for the iPhone X.
Similar to the X in terms of camera quality and speed, the iPhone 8 and 8 plus were also announced. The iPhone 8 starts at $699 and the iPhone 8 plus starts at $799. These phones are great for getting the maximum output from the iPhone at a lower cost than the iPhone X. Both phones do not have full screen or facial recognition features, but have the beautiful full-glass design. The phones also offer wireless charging, for a much more efficient charging experience. Many smartphones in the market offer almost the same features for much less, so personally I feel like despite the superior camera in the iPhone X, 8 and 8 plus, this update is overpriced.
Apple Watch series 3, priced at $329, also came out with many new advancements. There is now the option to call and text right from the watch thanks to cellular connection. Updated Siri features allow tasks to be verbally completed, and over 40 million songs can be streamed from the watch. The great part is all of the watch features sync right to your iPhone, so the connections, messages, calls, music, and notifications never lag. The new exercise features offer motivation notification, altitude tracking, swim proof usage, and goal setting. This ultimately maximizes your workout like no other. Watch OS is the name of the new software for the Apple Watch. Although other smart watches exist in the market, this is popular because iPhone users get the full benefits of using the applications. So, if you're looking for a smart watch and are currently and iPhone owner, this is definitely the best option in terms of compatibility and technology.
The Apple 4k TV starts at $179. It supports ultra HD viewing, offering the highest resolution quality. When you sync your phone to the TV, the photo quality is like no other now. You can also stream news and sports live, replacing the need for cable TV. However, this update is one that is late in the game. Other TV services such as Roku have already implemented the features, so this is actually a more expensive version of existing products.
iOS 11 is the most advanced Apple software yet. The new Files app allows all of your files to be organized and supports third party apps. This allows easy access to all of your files in one location. On the iPad, the dock has now maximized, so enough apps to fill the row can be inserted. The now maximized usage of the dock can be accessed anytime, so multi-tasking becomes easier than ever. Apple pay now works right in messages for the easiest purchases and drag and drop features make working easier. Siri also improved, with a more natural voice and translating options. Of course, this also made improvements to the Mac. All of these updates allow the maximum use of your device with the highest advancements of technology. I like this update because of how it increased the versatility of the iPad. My personal favorite part of this update is the fact the Siri can translate, which is so important and convenient if you travel.
In the end, Apple did present great new improvements and advanced for their products.
